In this role you will work directly with residents who are beginning to experience financial stress, housing difficulties or wider wellbeing challenges. The focus is on early intervention, helping people resolve issues before they escalate into crisis or statutory services.
Day-to-day, you will
- Meet with residents to understand their situation and carry out structured wellbeing conversations.
- Help residents access benefits, financial support, housing advice or community services.
- Complete applications and forms with residents and help them navigate complex systems.
- Coordinate support across council teams and partner organisations through referrals and warm handovers.
- Provide short-term, practical support while maintaining clear boundaries and accurate case records.
