Nursery Room Leader - Early Years (Level 3) - Forest Row
Are you a passionate Early Years practitioner ready to step into a leadership role? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our friendly, nurturing team in the heart of Forest Row. In this role, you will lead daily room operations, inspire a team of practitioners, and create a stimulating, safe, and joyful environment where children can thrive.

Responsibilities

Room Leadership
Oversee the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring high standards of care, early education, and safety.

Curriculum & EYFS
Design and deliver an engaging, child-led curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework.

Team Guidance
Mentor, support, and supervise room staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.

Key Person Duties
Maintain accurate developmental records, conduct assessments, and support individual learning journeys for every child.

Parent Partnerships
Build strong, open relationships with parents and carers through regular communication and updates.

Safeguarding & Health
Uphold strict safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times to ensure a secure environment.
Qualifications

Certification
Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent/above).

Experience
Proven experience working within an Early Years setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.

Leadership
Prior supervisory or room leadership experience is preferred, though senior practitioners looking to take the next step in their career are encouraged to apply.

Skills
Exceptional communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
