What skills and experience we're looking for

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the security of the school site, including locking and unlocking buildings and gates
  • Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs across the premises
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness internally and externally, including grounds
  • Assist with setting up and clearing spaces for school events and activities
  • Monitor building systems such as heating, lighting and plumbing, reporting issues promptly
  • Support grounds maintenance, including seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance and gritting

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a caretaking, site or maintenance role
  • Practical skills in general maintenance and basic repairs
  • Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Physically able to undertake manual tasks associated with the role
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
