Job Summary

To set and operate a Brother Machining Centre to achieve high quality parts at a minimum cost to the Company. The incumbent shall work under the direction of the Team Leader/Shift Foreman. The processes involved are mainly counter sinking and honing of metal components.

Key Tasks

• To maintain the setting of the Machining Centre to the highest standards whilst incurring minimum cost.

• To machine specific parts to a specified size.

• Use of measuring equipment such as micrometers.

• To contribute ideas to improve quality and reduce cost.

• To operate an autonomous maintenance system.

• To participate in continuous improvement programs.

• To proactively maintain Health and Safety standards by employing risk analysis techniques.
