About this role
Core Vision and Leadership
The minister is responsible for casting and implementing a clear vision for the church body, aligning all ministry activities with the Gospel and the organisation’s mission.
These includes
• Strategic leadership of all ministry areas, ensuring alignment with the church’s stated vision and goals
• Setting annual goals for the congregation and overseeing their implementation
• Championing new ways to demonstrate the love of Jesus and meet community needs
Gospel Preaching and Teaching
• Preach and teach the Bible with clarity, relevance, and biblical authenticity
• Lead worship services and develop Sunday and weekly worship and discipleship opportunities
• Deliver engaging, biblically based sermons that inspire and equip the congregation for evangelism and mission
Pastoral Care and Spiritual Development
• Provide pastoral care to individuals and families, offering counselling, prayer, and support in times of need
• Facilitate spiritual growth through discipleship initiatives, Bible studies, workshops, and youth/family ministry
• Oversee pastoral and calling ministries, ensuring they are biblically grounded and effective
Community and Mission Engagement
• Lead evangelistic events and outreach initiatives locally and globally
• Build relationships with local schools, businesses, and community groups to be an effective witness
• Support mission and outreach projects, including food banks, youth work, and education initiatives
