A little bit about me

Hi! I am Al. I'm a warm, friendly, and patient person with a great sense of humour. I am looking for a kind and reliable Personal Assistant to support me to live life to the fullest.

I enjoy a good chat and love watching my favourite TV shows- especially Still Game and Only Fools and Horses. It would be great to have someone around who's happy to chat and share a laugh.

What a good day looks like

With the right support, I can enjoy my daily routine, feel comfortable, and spend time doing the things that I like. You will play a really important role in helping me to feel supported, relaxed and able to enjoy my day- whether that's at home or out in the community.

What you will be doing

No two days are the same, but you may support me with

• Getting out and about in the community

• Preparing meals

• Personal care, including showering and dressing

• Supporting me to take his medication

• Providing support during the night when needed

As part of the role, you will work at least one night shift per week, where you will be there to support me if I need anything overnight.

About you

You will be joining a small team of Personal Assistants, so I am looking for someone who is

• Able to work well as part of a team.

• Keen to build a positive relationship with me and the wider PA team.

• Experienced in providing care/support

• Confident with cooking and general household tasks.

• Patient, attentive, and willing to learn.

You'll also need to be comfortable learning how to use my communication book, so you can help me to express myself clearly.

This role is based in the West End of Glasgow, G3, so it is important that you can travel to and from the area reliably.

The role is for 24 hours per week, worked over two shifts: one day shift and one night shift. Working days are negotiable, although occasional weekend work is required. hourly rates to £14.40 for day time hours and £14.00 for sleepover hours

Why does this role matter?

You will be making a real difference to my everyday life. You will support me to stay independent, comfortable and able to enjoy the things I love, while building a positive, respectful working relationship together.
