This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MET Technician or Strip & Fit Technician to join a busy and successful Accident Repair Centre in Barking. Working Monday to Friday with no weekend commitments, you'll be part of a highly skilled Bodyshop team using the latest repair equipment and manufacturer-approved methods to restore vehicles to the highest standards.

The Role
As an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician, you will play a vital role in the repair process, dismantling and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.
Your responsibilities will include
•
Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components
•
Diagnosing damaged parts and identifying repair requirements
•
Repairing and replacing mechanical and electrical components
•
Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods
•
Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to ensure an efficient workflow
•
Completing quality inspections before vehicle handover
•
Maintaining accurate workshop documentation
•
Following all health and safety procedures
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have
•
Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician, Vehicle MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Bodyshop Technician
•
A recognised qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA, or equivalent
•
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with an excellent understanding of modern vehicle repair techniques
•
Experience working within a busy Bodyshop or Accident Repair Centre
•
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
•
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
•
A motivated, professional, and quality-focused approach
