Job Description
The role is to provide personal care support, primarily with dressing, undressing and bathing.
Once the individual becomes familiar and comfortable with their PA, they should be able to respond to simple prompts to take off and put on their clothes, requiring only minimal assistance and guidance. However, the PA should always be available to offer support when needed.

Roles and Responsibilities
The successful
PA will be responsible for
Supporting with dressing and undressing.
Providing gentle prompting and guidance to encourage independence.
Offering assistance with clothing when required.
Supporting with bathing three times a week, as they are unable to bathe independently.
During menstruation, supporting with changing sanitary products when required.
Providing personal care in a respectful, patient and dignified manner.
Building a trusting and positive relationship.

How will the hours be used
Monday to Friday
approximately 7:00am to help the individual get dressed for the day, and approximately 7:00pm to help them get changed for the evening/night.
Saturday and Sunday mornings
any time before 11:00am.
Saturday and Sunday evenings
approximately 7:00pm.
Bathing
Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

What pets do I have and how many?
There is one dog in the household. The dog can be quite giddy and excitable, so the successful applicant will need to be comfortable around dogs and ideally be someone who loves them.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a kind and caring person to provide regular, practical support while helping a young adult maintain their dignity and independence with personal care.
