Role / Job Summary
We are seeking a committed Built Environment and Civil Engineering Tutor to join our team. This role involves delivering remote teaching sessions to apprentices and managing a rolling curriculum. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of future professionals in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver remote teaching sessions to cohorts of apprentices.
- Conduct tutor-led teaching in the mornings, followed by directed learning and learner support in the afternoons.
- Teach four days per week, with a dedicated fifth day for preparation and administration.
- Manage a rolling curriculum delivered in six-week blocks, followed by assessment and marking activities.
Qualifications
- Relevant industry experience in Built Environment and/or Civil Engineering.
- Teaching experience within Further Education, apprenticeships, or work-based learning.
- Ability to teach learners studying both the apprenticeship standard and the associated technical qualification.
- Familiarity with apprenticeship standards and associated qualifications, including Civil Engineering Senior Technician, Construction Design & Build Technician, and others.
Education Requirements
- A recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent preferred).

- Experience delivering teaching Civil Engineering and Build Environment Apprenticeships
