Package Description

• £13.38 per hour
• 15 hours per week, working on

Saturdays and Sundays between 6

00am and 6:00pm, with occasional cover required

Monday to Friday between 6

00am and 10:00pm.

Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Health and Fitness team as a Health and Fitness Centre Assistant, where you will contribute to improving the overall health and wellbeing of colleagues within the business.

You will be based in our purpose built, state of the art Technogym equipped fitness centre, which also boasts two indoor tennis courts, saunas and steam rooms and a large dance studio. We understand how important it is to look after our bodies and the overall impact this has on our wellbeing and happiness. With this in mind, our Health and Fitness team are onsite to assist with training programmes, facilitate studio classes and provide support when required.

Reporting to the Health and Fitness Centre Manager, the successful candidate will assist with day to day operations, providing appropriate written and practical instruction on the use of the facilities by carrying out new member inductions. You will be proactive in ensuring the health, safety and maintenance standards of the centre and equipment.

Job Overview

• Support member engagement and encourage a positive and inviting atmosphere within the fitness centre
• Assist members by providing guidance on facility usage and navigating equipment
• Work with your gym team to deliver and promote fitness classes or events, ensuring a smooth experience and contributing to the overall success of our members’ fitness journeys
• Offer friendly, professional and informative response to queries
• Uphold excellent standards in terms of health and safety, housekeeping, security and general use
• Maintain an accurate registration and booking system for seamless client interactions
• Maintain and care for our equipment and facilities by following all compliance checks effectively
• Respond to calls, emails and other face-to-face queries promptly and professionally

Minimum Criteria to Apply

• Fitness Instructor NVQ Level 2
• Knowledge of health, safety and security practices
• Outstanding customer service
• Experience of working in a gym
• Experience of working in a customer-facing role
• Knowledge of the leisure industry
• Computer proficient; Microsoft packages
• Experience in Teaching Classes
• First aid experience
