We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and energetic Breakfast Club Assistant to join our team at Great Bentley Primary School, helping children start their school day in a safe, welcoming and positive environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for a part-time, term-time role that fits around other commitments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming children into the breakfast club each morning
- Supporting fun and engaging activities before school
- Supervising children aged 4–11 in a safe environment
- Helping serve breakfast and encouraging positive routines
- Supporting children’s wellbeing, behaviour and engagement
- Working as part of a friendly school-based team
What We’re Looking For
- Candidates must be 18 or over due to safeguarding requirements.
- Experience working with children in schools, clubs, nurseries or similar settings (paid or voluntary)
- Friendly, approachable and reliable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Someone who enjoys creating a fun and positive environment for children
Desirable (but not essential)
- Childcare or playwork qualifications
- First Aid, Safeguarding or Food Hygiene training

4. Onboarding & compliance – We’ll guide you through safeguarding checks, DBS and training before you start
