About the Direct Payment Holder

A 42-year-old woman is seeking a reliable and compassionate female support worker to assist with day-to-day living. The client is totally blind and requires support with general household duties, daily living tasks, and parenting responsibilities.

This role also involves providing emotional and social support, as well as assistance in maintaining regular contact with her 5-year-old son.

Hours and rate of pay

Wednesdays

  • 2:30pm – Collect client from Letchworth
  • Travel to Hitchin to collect her son from school
  • Return to Letchworth and provide support at home
  • 6:30pm – Drop son back to his father in Hitchin

Weekend (Saturday or Sunday)

  • 10:00am – Collect son from his father in Hitchin
  • Support client and son at home in Letchworth
  • 3:00pm – Return son to his father in Hitchin

(£19.45 per hour)

Location Letchworth (SG6)

DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

Training Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required

  • Introduction to first aid
  • Health and Safety / Moving and handling

What you would be doing…

Support with domestic tasks and general household duties

Assistance with daily living activities

Providing emotional and social support

Supporting the client in caring for and spending time with her son

School collection and transport between Letchworth and Hitchin

Required skills and experience Female applicant

Current CV

Current DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Full, clean driving licence with business insurance

Public liability insurance

Ability to work on a self-employed basis
