About this role

To maintain professional autonomy within practice, taking full accountability for clinical decisions and ensuring all interventions are delivered in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional frameworks. This includes upholding high standards of safe and effective practice at all times. To monitor and mitigate potential risks associated with patient presentations, implementing appropriate safety measures to support effective rehabilitation outcomes. You will respond proactively to changes in patient condition and environmental factors. To support continuity of service delivery by adapting clinical priorities in response to changing demands, unexpected situations, and fluctuating patient needs. This requires flexibility, sound judgement, and effective time management. To ensure all rehabilitation equipment, assistive devices, and therapeutic resources are used safely, maintained appropriately, and checked prior to use. Any faults, concerns, or safety issues must be escalated promptly through the correct reporting channels. To engage in reflective practice, peer discussions, and case-based learning activities to strengthen clinical reasoning and support continuous professional development. You will actively participate in learning opportunities relevant to specialist practice. To contribute to maintaining a high-quality therapeutic environment by supporting compliance with health and safety requirements, infection prevention measures, and local operational procedures. This includes promoting best practice standards across the service.
