Experienced Carer/Nurse / Support Worker Wanted
We are looking for a highly experienced and compassionate carer, possibly a qualified nurse, to support a young man in his 20s living with a brain injury, Autism and Learnjng difficulties.
This rewarding role involves assisting with aspects of personal care, household tasks, and supporting social activities to encourage independence and quality of life. The successful candidate will be expected to follow the lead of the main carer and work as part of a supportive care team.
Role Details
Approximately 15 hours per week
Flexible working hours would be required.
Temporary position for 3–6 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent
Pay
£15–£30 per hour depending on experience & qualifications, which will be assessed at interview.
Occasional overnight & lone working will be required
Essential Requirements
Must have hands-on experience supporting individuals with
Learning disabilities
Autism
Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
Safeguarding training is essential
Caring, patient, and reliable nature
Ability to support social engagement and daily living activities
Willingness to follow care plans and guidance from the main carer
DBS check required before employment
Desirable
Brain injury experience
Nursing background or relevant health and social care qualifications
Experience working with young adults with complex needs
