About this role
Located in Hainault, Redbridge Cycling Centre is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built cycling venue and a true hub for cycling excellence. Featuring a variety of tracks including road, BMX and off‑road, the centre offers something for everyone—from beginners and families to experienced and competitive riders.
The centre welcomes cyclists of all abilities and is supported by qualified British Cycling coaches who help riders progress from learning to ride through to competing at competition level. Alongside coaching, the site offers a wide range of hire bikes and a fully equipped workshop providing repairs and servicing.
About the role
The role involves supporting the daily running of the centre, acting as a key holder with responsibility for opening and closing the site. You will be the main point of contact for customers, managing bookings, paperwork, course reports and results. You’ll work closely with the Centre Manager, providing support with statistics, targets and reports to help shape programming and associated activities. The role requires confidence to work independently, while also managing staff and maintaining high standards across all areas of the centre.
Essential requirements
To be a regular competent cyclist.
To be able to teach groups and individuals of all ages and abilities.
To project an enthusiastic approach to cycling, with an understanding of cycling as a sport, means of transport, leisure pursuit and healthy form of exercise.
To be trained as British Cycling Level 2 coach, ideally holding Road, MTB & BMX level 2 specific qualifications.
Hold a First Aid qualification (desirable).
To be able to manage staff and work on own initiative.
