General Assistant - Cricklefields Sports Ground

The Sport and Leisure Service are recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a General Assistant at Cricklefields Sports Ground.

The athletics ground is the home ground for Ilford Athletic Club. Our floodlit pich is used for home matches by both Ilford FC and Barkingside FC under the Essex Senior Football League.

As a General assistant your role will focus on ensuring that the venue is kept to a high standard to keep customer satisfaction. You will work alongside the team to ensure that events are set up, health and safety is maintained and that the venue is kept clean and tidy for all who walks through the doors.

Job requirements

To work on a shift rota system.

To be aware of all Health & Safety issues within the Centre, to constantly implement and assess procedures drawing attention to any unsafe practices.

To set up for functions and events.

To develop a friendly and efficient working relationship with the people who use the Leisure Centre.

To work as part of a team to achieve the income and usage targets of the Leisure Centre.

To ensure all facilities are presented to the highest levels of cleanliness and

To undertake cleaning duties as required by the Duty Manager.

To work as part of a team, or independently as the situation demands, support other team members and provide cover as required.

To assist in the management and development of the Leisure Centre quality assurance systems and procedures.

Essential requirements

Experience of working within the Leisure Industry.

The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
