The Role
This is a varied and hands-on nursing role where you will be involved in all aspects of first-opinion and hospital nursing, including inpatient care, theatre, diagnostics, nurse consults and client support.
Key responsibilities include
- Delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient nursing care
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting surgical procedures
- Assisting with consultations and nurse clinics
- Running laboratory diagnostics
- Administering treatments and medications
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Supporting client communication and education
This role would suit an RVN who enjoys variety, values teamwork and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care.
Hours & Work Pattern
- Full-time position averaging 39 hours per week
- Typically worked over 4.5 days
- Mix of early or late shifts
- 1 in 4 or 1 in 5
Saturdays (8
30am – 2:00pm consults)

Sunday on-call rota
8:30am – 6:30pm
- Time off in lieu provided to maintain average weekly hours

You will be joining a highly regarded independent veterinary hospital with a strong reputation for clinical excellence and a genuinely supportive culture.

- On-site CT scanner
- Digital X-ray
- Ultrasound
- Endoscopy
- ECG
- In-house laboratory
- Separate dog, cat and exotic wards
The practice cares for both small animals and exotic species, but previous exotics experience is not required as full support and training are available.
The nursing team is led by an experienced Head Nurse and Deputy Head Nurse, providing excellent day-to-day support and mentorship.
