Head Chef – Care Home
Location - Holt, Norfolk
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen in our care home and provide fresh, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare high-quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences
- Create varied and nutritious menus
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team
- Manage stock, food orders, and kitchen budgets
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness
- Minimise food waste and maintain an organised kitchen
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
- Experience managing and training kitchen staff
- Understanding of special diets and nutritional requirements
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Catering or equivalent (desirable)
- Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
