Head Chef – Care Home

Location - Holt, Norfolk

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen in our care home and provide fresh, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare high-quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences
  • Create varied and nutritious menus
  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team
  • Manage stock, food orders, and kitchen budgets
  • Ensure high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness
  • Minimise food waste and maintain an organised kitchen

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
  • Experience managing and training kitchen staff
  • Understanding of special diets and nutritional requirements
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Catering or equivalent (desirable)
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
