Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a wonderful opportunity for a professional, calm, and active Nanny to join a warm and welcoming family based in Brookmans Park, Hertfordshire. The household comprises two adult principals and their 16-month-old son, who is an energetic and curious toddler with a love for the outdoors. The family are seeking a physically fit, engaged, and nurturing individual who can support their child’s development in a structured yet playful environment. Located in a peaceful and green residential area, Brookmans Park offers an excellent setting for outdoor activities, local playgroups, and community-based classes, making it an ideal environment for a Nanny who enjoys spending time outdoors and engaging children in meaningful daily routines.

This is a live-out, part-time role based in Brookmans Park, just some minutes’ drive away from the train station. The role is structured across two full working days per week, with consistent hours from 07:30 to 18:30, providing clarity and routine. A driving licence and own car are essential for this position, as the Nanny will be responsible for taking the child to local activities and classes that are not within walking distance. This role is well-suited to a Nanny who enjoys a balance of indoor and outdoor activities and is confident managing a toddler’s day independently while supporting light household tasks related to the child.

Working as a Nanny in this household involves providing attentive, hands-on childcare with a strong focus on development, wellbeing, and routine. The role includes planning age-appropriate and developmental activities, organising outings such as park visits and playdates, preparing meals for the child, and maintaining a clean and organised environment related to the child’s needs. The Nanny will also be responsible for daily routines including washing, feeding, and putting the child to bed, as well as supporting with light housekeeping duties such as emptying the dishwasher and cleaning up after meal preparation.

Main duties of the

Part-Time Nanny

Providing full care for a 16-month-old child, ensuring safety, wellbeing, and development at all times

Planning and implementing age-appropriate and developmental activities

Taking the child to local classes, playdates, and outdoor activities

Preparing nutritious meals for the child and maintaining feeding routines

Supporting daily routines including washing, dressing, and bedtime

Maintaining cleanliness in all child-related areas, including tidying up after meals and activities

Emptying and loading the dishwasher and assisting with light housekeeping related to the child

Driving the child to local activities and appointments

Encouraging outdoor play and physical activity in line with the child’s interests

Ensuring a calm, structured, and nurturing environment throughout the day

Requirements for this Part-Time Nanny

Minimum of 3 years of private nanny experience

Two excellent, checkable references

Legal right to work in the UK

DBS check

Own car is essential
