Perfect Household Staff is pleased to present a long-term, live-out Housekeeper / Cook opportunity within a warm and well-established private family based in Billericay. This role is ideally suited to a professional seeking stability, consistency, and a respectful working environment.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), within a well-maintained private household occupied by two adults, one child, and two small, friendly dogs, ensuring a manageable and structured workload.

The primary focus of the role is high-standard housekeeping and confident family cooking. Responsibilities include maintaining the home to an excellent standard through daily and periodic deep cleaning, laundry and ironing, wardrobe organisation, bed linen changes, and overall household organisation. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh, balanced family meals, planning menus, and cooking confidently with a variety of ingredients.

Childcare, pet care, and errands are very occasional and supportive in nature, with the emphasis remaining firmly on housekeeping and cooking.

The role offers a salary up to £51,000 annually gross, depending on experience, along with a formal employment contract and an attractive benefits package.

Cook duties may include

Maintaining high housekeeping standards and overall household presentation

Managing laundry, ironing, bed linen changes, and wardrobe organisation

Keeping kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces clean and well organised

Preparing fresh, healthy family meals with confident home cooking

Monitoring household supplies and running occasional errands

Providing light child-related support when required

Assisting with daily routines for the family dogs

Driving for occasional local errands and collections

Requirements for this

Full-Time Housekeeper / Cook job

Minimum 3 years’ Housekeeper / Cook experience within private households

Confident family cooking skills with the ability to prepare fresh, healthy meals

Confident driver with a valid driving licence

Fluent English communication skills

Checkable references

Valid UK working permit

DBS check
