HGV Class 2 Driver – Hazardous Waste Collection

Smart Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy operation in Wolverhampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver looking for stable full-time work, guaranteed hours, overtime opportunities, and additional daily bonuses, working with an established and professional business.
Pay & Benefits
£14.50 per hour
Guaranteed 45-hour week
Overtime paid at x1.5 for all hours worked over 45
£10 early start bonus for shifts starting before 4:30am
£3 daily meal allowance
£26.50 night allowance (where applicable)
Full PPE and uniform provided
Company pension scheme
Death in Service benefit – x4 annual salary after 6 months service

The Role
Safely operate HGV Class 2 (18t – 26t) curtain-sider vehicles
Collect and transport waste materials including aerosols, oily rags, and paint products
Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly
Use tablet-based systems to complete job records and vehicle logs
Follow all transport, road safety, and site health & safety procedures
Deliver a professional, helpful service to customers on-site
Maintain high operational and safety standards at all times
What We’re Looking For
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
ADR and Moffett qualifications are preferred (but not essential)
Experience with hazardous waste or curtain-sider vehicles is advantageous
Reliable, professional, and safety-focused attitude
Good communication skills and customer-focused approach
Flexibility for early starts (from 4:30am)
