Night Nurse (RGN)

Part-Time £21.40 per hour + Paid Breaks | 24 hours per week | CQC Rating - Good

Our client is a Good CQC-rated nursing home providing specialist care for residents with dementia, palliative, and end-of-life care needs. They are now looking for an experienced RGN to join their night team on a part-time basis - covering two nights per week on a rotating pattern.

This is a role that suits a nurse who is confident working autonomously overnight, has a compassionate approach to complex care needs, and is looking for a regular, structured part-time commitment.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Current, unrestricted NMC registration - RGN essential
  • Minimum 1 year's post-registration experience - essential
  • Experience in dementia, palliative, and end-of-life care - essential
  • Confident using electronic care and medication systems
  • Able to lead a shift independently and make sound clinical decisions overnight
  • A compassionate, calm approach - particularly important given the nature of the care provided
  • Reliable and committed to the rotating shift pattern

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care overnight for residents with dementia, palliative, and end-of-life care needs
  • Taking responsibility for the safe and smooth running of the home during night shifts
  • Conducting and reviewing care assessments and care plans in line with individual resident needs
  • Administering medications safely and accurately in accordance with NMC guidelines
  • Using electronic care and medication systems accurately throughout each shift
  • Supervising and supporting care staff on shift, acting as the senior clinical presence overnight
  • Responding calmly and compassionately to clinical need as it arises, including end-of-life situations
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation throughout each shift
