About the Role

Inspire EHC are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher (KS3) to join a well-established specialist SEN school in Lowestoft, Suffolk on a contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a SEND Teacher who is passionate about supporting children and young people with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and additional needs, within a nurturing and structured educational setting.

About the School

This Outstanding specialist school supports pupils aged Year 3 to Year 11, including term-time residential provision.

All students have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan), with needs including moderate learning difficulties (MLD), autism spectrum condition (ASC), speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The school provides a supportive, inclusive, and pupil-centred environment, focused on helping every learner achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities - SEN Teacher (KS3)

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated SEN lessons

Support pupils in line with their EHCP targets

Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed

Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

Implement effective behaviour management strategies

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, parents, and external professionals

Contribute to the school's inclusive ethos and development

Requirements - SEN Teacher (KS3)

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working within SEN / SEND settings

Strong understanding of autism, MLD, and communication needs

Excellent behaviour management skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

A caring, patient and adaptable approach to teaching
