About this role

Although this position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, the actual duration may be slightly reduced to allow for advertising, recruitment and completion of pre-employment checks. The contract will therefore begin from the successful candidate’s start date.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to lead innovative, data-driven solutions within a large NHS organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming how information, analytics and digital insight are delivered across the Trust.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across a diverse BI environment, leading the development of advanced reporting and visual analytics solutions using Qlik Sense, while also supporting SSRS, Power BI, Business Objects and SharePoint-based digital solutions. Working closely with clinical, operational and corporate teams, you will translate complex requirements into accessible dashboards, reports and digital tools that support informed decision-making.

The role will also support the adoption of AI and data science approaches to enhance analytics, automate processes and generate deeper insights from Trust data. You will champion data quality, governance and best practice while mentoring BI developers and promoting innovation across the team to improve performance and patient care.

To be the senior representative of the Trust’s reporting workstream for Qlik View and Qlik Sense centre of expertise and knowledge for all matters pertaining to the use, development and application of the tool. By exploiting the potential of the Qlik Sense application, support the development of the reporting tools and dashboards, thereby supporting the activities enabling clinicians and senior management to better understand their activities and performance to facilitate informed decision making.

Through increased visualisation and improved accessibility of data, allow the Trust to maximise and exploit the potential of the available information.

We run aWomen’s Health Hub in Ilford; anAgeing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) atBarking Community Hospital and atSt George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
