About the Direct Payment Holder L is a 35 year old male with a diagnosis of Autism & learning disability. He has limited communication & understanding of spoken word but is fun to be with, he is good company but also enjoys his own company and being quiet.. He enjoys a variety of activities including banger racing, charity shops, the gym (sometimes), bowling, car boot sales and lots more.

L is very able but needs encouragement to try different things.

Hours and rate of pay hours 8- 10 hours per week can be flexible – Friday, weekends or any evening during the week. Paid at £12.71 per hour. Extra hours for respite/overnight support are available.

DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

What you would be doing… Supporting L with accessing the community and engaging with activities he enjoys to expand his circle of peers and activities of interest.

Required skills and experience Experience of supporting adults who have a learning disability or autism is essential.

We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, reliable and consistent. Someone who is calm and a good communicator, someone proactive and who will encourage L to live his best life.

If you can drive and have access to your own vehicle that would be great but is not essential as L enjoys using public transport.
