About this role

Physiotherapy assistant working in the Children's Community Physiotherapy team. Work will include supporting children aged 0-19 years in their home, education setting and clinical environments.

Supporting qualified Physiotherapists to deliver therapy for children with neurodevelopmental conditions.

Carrying out therapy sessions with or without a qualified therapist being present, under direction of qualified staff members.

Assessing, maintaining and cleaning specialist therapy equipment.

Providing admin support for the team including ordering of specialist equipment.

Teaching and educating parents / school staff how to use specialist equipment and for therapy programmes.

Liaising with the MDT regarding patient care.

Physiotherapy assistant to the Children's Physiotherapy team based in Mid-Essex. The role will be to provide Physiotherapy support to children 0-19. This will include administration roles including record keeping, data collecting and reporting, liaison with other health professionals / parents / education staff along with clinical administration associated with patient care. It will also include hands on Physiotherapy support during therapy sessions - this may be alongside a qualified member of staff or independently under their guidance. The role will include working in a number of locations such as patient's homes, education settings as well as clinic based environments.
