About the service user
H is a young Autistic man aged 25. He enjoys films, going to the cinema and computer games.
Hours and rate of Pay
8 hours per week days and times flexible could be daytime or evening.
£15.00 per hour possible increase following successful probation period for the right person.
Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
What you would be doing…
You will be supporting H with the following life skills…
Travel & route training so he can access the local community with confidence.
Supporting H to identify activities of interest and access them together.
Building confidence when interacting with others.
Practicing money skills, such as paying for items in shops.
Exploring employment support
Exploring voluntary opportunities.
The person I would like…
If you have experience of supporting others with Autism that would be great but is not essential, a willingness to learn about Autism and the challenges it can sometimes bring is really important.
Life experience is important.
Someone who is patient, kind and encouraging, who is happy to be interactive in order to develop skills while promoting H’s independence and enabling him to learn new skills.
