We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated senior nurse to join our team as an Operational Matron in the Co-ordination Centre

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced, motivated and values‑driven Operational Matron. This is a senior nursing leadership role covering the operational running of the Trust and wider campus from a flow, safety and quality perspective. This critical role requires a resilient professional capable of driving continuous improvements across multiple performance metrics, ensuring patient flow is a priority using the 'Getting it right first time' approach and site safety. This role will be based out of the Co-ordination centre with a focus on digital technology to drive the Trust on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

Provide direct leadership to the Trust for patient flow and operational safety working closely with multiple teams across the trust

Performance Recovery

Work to continually improve the key Trust and national performance metrics with internal and external partners.

Leadership

Maintain a highly visible, professional and authoritative presence which patients, carers and colleagues can turn to for advice and guidance whilst maintaining safety as the ultimate priority.
