Experienced Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a committed and experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school team.

The Successful candidate will have strong experience supporting pupils within Lower Key Stage 2 and Upper Key Stage 2 and be passionate about helping children thrive both academically and personally.

You will work closely with class teachers to support learning, encourage pupil progress, and contribute to a positive classroom enviroment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across LKS2 and UKS2 classes
• Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy, guided reading, and intervention sessions
• Supporting pupils with varying learning abilities and additional needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and engagement in learning
• Helping prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have proven experience working within a primary school setting
• Have experience supporting pupils in LKS2 and UKS2
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable)
• Be confident supporting English and Maths interventions
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Be patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children's development
