You will need a good understanding of NHS and Trust systems, alongside strong administrative skills. This includes proficiency in Word and Excel, an understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to type accurately to support live data entry during MDT meetings.
Working in this role requires a calm, logical, and methodical approach, with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. You will interact with colleagues at all levels, both internally and externally, and must be confident communicating with a wide range of clinical and administrative staff.
A key part of the role is ensuring that all relevant clinical information is available for MDT discussion. This includes coordinating notes, investigations, imaging, and test results, and liaising with external hospitals to obtain any outstanding information required for safe decision‑making.
You will attend weekly MDT meetings, support the smooth running of the discussion, and maintain accurate records of MDT attendance in line with national Peer Review requirements.
