The Role

As a Registered Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and quality of a residential service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.

This position requires a confident and hands-on manager who can balance operational responsibilities with strong leadership, embedding best practice, and continuously improving service delivery.

You will play a pivotal role in developing the team, strengthening standards, and driving positive change while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Providing effective day-to-day leadership and management of the service

Holding CQC Registered Manager status and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards

Leading, supporting, and developing staff through recruitment, supervision, and performance management

Driving continuous improvement across service quality, outcomes, and care delivery

Managing budgets and overseeing financial performance

Building strong relationships with families, commissioners, and external stakeholders

Ensuring robust safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance processes

Leading service development initiatives and embedding best practice

About You

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager with a strong background in learning disability and/or mental health services.

You will be a natural leader who leads by example, with the confidence, resilience, and energy to manage a complex service while supporting and developing your team.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager

Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams

Experience managing complex care services

Successful track record of improving service quality and outcomes

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage budgets and operational performance

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
