Legal Secretary – Property Disputes

Highly regarded UK law firm seeks an experienced, organised Legal Secretary to join its Property Disputes team. You will support a respected litigation practice acting for public and private sector clients including individuals, partnerships, trusts, corporates and social landlords across a broad range of contentious property matters.

This role suits a proactive, detail‑focused professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and enjoys working closely with fee earners on complex cases.

Key responsibilities

Prepare, format and finalise legal documents: claims, witness statements, settlement agreements, correspondence and court bundles

Manage diaries and track key dates, hearings and appointments

Maintain accurate client and case records; open/close files and assist with billing processes

Handle calls and emails professionally and efficiently

Arrange meetings, conferences, travel and accommodation; prepare supporting materials

Support business development and team events

Assist colleagues and provide cover across the wider secretarial function

What we’re looking for

Previous legal secretary experience, ideally in litigation

Strong document production and formatting skills

Excellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Clear written and verbal communication

Professional, proactive and team‑oriented attitude

High level of discretion and confidentiality

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems

Advantageous
