About this role
Leading UK Top 50 law firm is looking for a talented, commercially aware Front End Developer to join its growing IT team. You will play a key role in building modern, user-focused digital platforms used by both legal professionals and clients, supporting the firm’s ongoing digital transformation.
Working within a collaborative team and Agile environment, you will design and develop intuitive, responsive, high‑performance web applications for internal and client‑facing portals — ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and built to best practice standards.
Key responsibilities
Build responsive, accessible, and user‑friendly interfaces using modern front‑end technologies
Translate business and technical requirements into clear, deliverable solutions
Develop, test, and maintain robust UI functionality across web platforms
Take part in code reviews and technical discussions to uphold quality and consistency
Drive improvements in usability, accessibility, and overall user experience
Work closely with developers, stakeholders, and wider IT teams
Contribute to standards, documentation, and continuous improvement
Stay updated with new tools, frameworks, and industry best practices
What we’re looking for
Strong commercial experience in front‑end development with a focus on high‑quality digital experiences
Excellent JavaScript and TypeScript skills
Solid experience with React and Next.js
Strong HTML5 and CSS knowledge, including responsive design
Proven track record building production‑ready web applications
Good understanding of component‑based architecture and maintainable code practices
Familiarity with modern web patterns and performance‑focused development
Great communication skills, proactive attitude, and solution‑oriented approach
Genuine interest in usability, accessibility, and user‑centric design
Advantageous
experience with authentication, secure session management, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and Docker
