About this role

Leading UK Top 50 law firm seeks a commercially aware, forward-thinking Legal Technology Specialist to join its IT team, partnering closely with the high-performing Corporate Services division. This is a unique chance for someone with a legal background and passion for innovation to drive digital transformation and smarter working across a modern practice.

You will act as the key link between legal teams and IT, supporting practice areas including Corporate, Commercial, Employment, Banking, Tax, Immigration, and Charities. Your focus will be optimising workflows, boosting productivity, and embedding AI and legal tech solutions into daily work. Working with Partners, lawyers, IT specialists, and L&D teams, you will shape how legal services are delivered through technology, process improvement, and innovation.

Key responsibilities

Support adoption and optimisation of tools: document automation, AI platforms, workflow systems, digital solutions

Identify efficiency and service improvements using LEAN and process engineering

Deliver demos, workshops, and training to drive engagement and usage

Advise teams on operational challenges and deliver practical, scalable solutions

Lead tech and process change initiatives within legal teams

Collaborate with IT, L&D, and business teams to align work with firm strategy

Implement innovative tools to enhance internal efficiency and client experience

Provide updates and strategic input to senior stakeholders

Help teams maximise commercial value through better workflows

What we’re looking for

Background as a lawyer, PSL, or legal specialist (ideally Corporate, Commercial, or Employment) with strong interest in legal tech and innovation

Solid understanding of legal workflows, transactions, and advisory work

Experience using or implementing legal tech, AI, or automation

Excellent communication and stakeholder skills

Strong analysis and problem-solving ability

Track record of project and change management in professional services

Ability to influence and support senior stakeholders

Proactive, adaptable, and genuinely enthusiastic about innovation

Agile/Scrum/Kanban exposure advantageous; training available
