About the Direct Payment Holder

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and energetic Personal Assistant to support a 7-year-old child living in Great Ashby, Stevenage.

He has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a learning disability, and hypermobility. He is also suspected to have ADHD, as well as ARFID and PICA. He attends a specialist school and is an extremely active, energetic child who enjoys running, climbing, bouncing, and engaging in physical play.

He has limited awareness of danger and can be impulsive, therefore requires constant supervision and a highly vigilant individual, particularly when outdoors. He is pre-verbal but can communicate his needs and enjoys singing and talking to himself. At times, when distressed, he may display behaviours such as pinching or biting, which can often be managed with consistent strategies such as structured transitions and clear communication.
