Technician in Catering (on-site)
37 hours per week, 41 weeks per year
Starting salary is £26,310 per annum pro-rata*
*Based on working 41 weeks per year, this equates to a starting salary of £23,893 per annum. (Payment in lieu of holiday is made through the enhancement of the hourly rate).
We are recruiting for a Technician in Catering to join our Suffolk Centre for Culinary Arts. You will be required to assist with day to day activities in our Centre for Culinary Arts to support our students studying for Hospitality qualifications.
As part of your role you will contribute to the wider College health and safety activity and therefore you should have a good understanding of health and safety and be prepared to undertake training in these areas e.g. first aid and fire marshal. You will help and support staff and students to maintain clean and hygienic working environments and maintaining still areas.
This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich campus however Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
You will need to have a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area and relevant professional industry experience.
