Pay
12PAs(ofwhich1SPA/week).
Therotaoffersanexcellentwork-lifebalanceallowingannualleavespellsofuptothreeweeks.Therota alsoallowsprotectedweeklyteachingsessionsandanewjournalclubisbeingsetupbyourFCEMconsultants
AnallocatedmentorwithinEmergencyMedicine aswellasaclinicalsupervisor whenonsecondmentwillbeprovided.
Local opportunitiestobecomeALSandATLSinstructors,aswellasfullsupportfromallEMconsultantstoprepareforFCEMareprovided.
TherotaallowsprotectedweeklyteachingsessionsandanewjournalclubisbeingsetupbyourFCEMconsultants.
ColchesterEDisaMajorTraumaUnitwithahelipadinfrontofthedepartmentandhascloselinkswithEmergencyDepartment/MajorTraumaCentreatAddenbrooke’sHospitalinCambridge.
ThesuccessfulcandidatewillbeclinicallyresponsibletotheConsultantsforthereception,resuscitation,diagnosis,andinitialtreatmentofallemergenciesinthemainEmergencyDepartment. Thereisthesameresponsibilityforclinicaldecisionsonappropriateadmissionofpatientsintohospitalbedstospecialunitsorotherhospitals,toout-patientclinics,ortothecareofthefamilydoctor.
