About the Direct Payment Holder We are looking for a caring and empathetic person to join our small team of dedicated support workers to support and assist a 37 year old, non-verbal, autistic male with medically controlled epilepsy, in daily routines and household tasks to enable him to live independently and access the community.

Hours and rate of pay hours 2 potential shifts available as follows – note there is a requirement to work one weekend in four.

30 waking hours per week @ £14.00 per hour+ 2 sleep in £40.00 per night.

Or

15 waking hours per week @ £14.00 per hour + 1 sleep in £ 40.00 per night.

Location Littleport – CB6

DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

What you would be doing… Supporting with all daily living tasks, personal care, meal preparation & household tasks as well as supporting with community activities J enjoys.

You will need to supply your own food and bedding for sleeping.

Required skills and experience The person we are looking for should be warm, kind and emotionally supportive individual who is skilled at reassuring people and helping them feel safe and understood.

Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.

Fluent English (spoken) - essential

UK driving licence (manual car) - essential

J benefits from a smoke free environment, smoking is not permitted at any time while on shift.

Confidence in the kitchen with the ability to prepare meals using fresh ingredients. - essential

Ability to swim - essential.

Ability to work independently and amuse oneself without conversation

Ability to identify and pursue activities independently when not engaged in structured tasks.
