£26,556 - £28,764 per annum (pro rata to hours worked as part-time)

Part-Time 14.8 Hours per Week

We are seeking a committed individual to join us as the Central Locality Family Hub Practitioner. This role is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the family hub model to support and assist children's play, development and learning, by demonstrating to parents and carers high standards of childcare and good practice. You will be focussing our service delivery for families with children 0-2 year old.

Key Experience and Skills

  • Experience of delivering childcare or supporting others to do so (children 0-5 years).
  • Demonstrable experience of inclusive practice.
  • Experience of supporting parents in children's learning.
  • Experience of planning age-appropriate activities.
  • Experience of working with health, the voluntary or statutory sectors and community groups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both young children and their parents/carers
  • Ability to follow a group session plan inclusive of stimulating, engaging activities for children
  • Ability to work in and promote a child-centred environment and showing sensitivity to the needs of children and parents
  • Ability to work and liaise with the local community and a variety of agencies
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to be mobile and be flexible to work across borough where the service needs require.
  • Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills.
  • Computer literate

Relevant childcare qualifications

  • NVQ L2, 3, NNEB or equivalent

DBS Check

Enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post
