Inspire EHC is looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school near Bury St Edmunds. You will support pupils with SEMH, Autism and trauma-related needs using trauma‑informed approaches that help them feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support emotional regulation using trauma-informed strategies
  • Model calm, consistent behaviour
  • Adapt learning activities to individual needs
  • Work with teachers, SENCO and therapists on personalised support plans
  • Encourage independence and celebrate progress

About You

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or equivalent)
  • Experience with SEMH, Autism or trauma needs
  • Calm, empathetic and resilient
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to commute to Bury St Edmunds
