Precast Concrete Innovation Engineer (KTP Associate)

https://www.ktp-uk.org/. This position is initially for a 30-month fixed term contract. You will be employed by Teesside University but will be working at the business partner premises day to day.

The appointed candidate will have 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and access to a dedicated £5,000 training budget tailored towards their personal development. They will have access to industry leading technology and supervision from a leading academic research team from Teesside University.

The business partner, Poundfield Precast are a precast concrete manufacturer specialising in retaining walls, beam & block flooring and bespoke precast concrete projects, part of the Precast Products Group within SigmaRoc UK. Their long-term strategy is centred on becoming a leader in low and ultra-low-carbon concrete products while maintaining high standards of structural performance, quality and commercial competitiveness.

This post will be based in the company’s office in rural Suffolk, near Ipswich.

As the Company is situated away from Public Transport, it will be the responsibility of the employee to ensure they can travel to the Head Quarters of Poundfield Precast Ltd, The Grove, Creeting St Peter, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP6 8QG.

This KTP aims to embed a low-carbon precast concrete innovation capability into Poundfield Precast for scalable precast product development and certification. It focuses on the development and commercialisation of a new generation of low- and ultra-low-carbon precast concrete products based on CEM VI systems.
