What are we looking for in our
Junior Sous Chef
As our Junior Sous Chef you will have previous experience working in a similar environment and will have a passion for consistently creating stunning dishes and will have a hands on approach with experience of a commercial kitchen.
The role has many responsibilities such as overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards, supporting management of stock and monitoring of wastage as well as providing an input in the planning and implementation of menu ideas.
We encourage our chefs to explore all areas of the kitchen to enhance their knowledge and personal development where you will learn different aspects of the kitchen sections including hot / cold section, larder, sauce and butchery.
You will assist in the development of our up-and-coming rising stars and will work towards effectively building on your strengths and previous experience whilst working closely with Rory and our Sous Chef.
You must be able to work under pressure, have great communication skills and be a team player to work in conjunction with our Front of House Team to ensure our guests stay is always memorable.
The Swan operates 7 days a week so a level of flexibility is required to assist in weekend work.
