Vehicle MET Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive MET Technician to join our specialist bodyshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembly and reassembly of vehicles, handling everything from mechanical components and electrical systems to intricate interior trim, ensuring every repair meets our standards.

Duties

• Dismantling and reassembling mechanical, electrical, and trim components (e.g., engines, gearboxes, wiring harnesses, interior trim, dashboards) in accordance with manufacturer and industry guidelines.
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults in electrical and mechanical systems post-accident or repair, ensuring full functionality and ADAS calibration.
• Performing thorough checks and testing to ensure all systems are correctly reinstalled, calibrated, and safe for road use, adhering to MOT standards.
• Working closely with the team to ensure a seamless repair process.
• Additionally, we value adaptability and a proactive approach. Therefore, you will be expected to take on other duties and responsibilities as required to meet the company's operational needs and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• ATA or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Body (MET) Repair.
• IMI Level 2 or 3 in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools (e.g., Snap-on, Bosch, or manufacturer-specific software) is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle MET Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive repair are advantageous.
