About this role
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of practice, working with advanced autonomy in line with national prostate cancer guidelines, BHFT policies, and the NMC Code of Conduct. To deliver evidencebased nursing care, using professional judgement and experience to make safe, wellinformed clinical decisions. To carry out holistic assessments using a range of methods, forming valid, reliable, and personcentred conclusions that appropriately manage risk and reflect the patients needs, context, and culture. To receive and assess patient referrals using highly developed clinical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and expertise, initiating appropriate diagnostic and treatment pathways. To support nurseled clinics, including coordinating diagnostic investigations and assisting with targeted prostate biopsies. To work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering specialist investigations for patients with lower urinary tract symptoms. To work alongside the ANP for Prostate, advising the multidisciplinary team on nursing practice and the nursing contribution to patient care, including attendance at the weekly MDT meeting.
