About the Role

Our Client is looking for a passionate, experienced, and highly organised Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the nursery and ensure the highest standards of childcare, safeguarding, and Early Years education are maintained at all times.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, overseeing compliance and safeguarding procedures, supporting children’s development through the EYFS framework, and maintaining strong partnerships with parents, staff, and external professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager looking to progress within a supportive and professional Early Years environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily operations of the nursery

Ensure the nursery remains compliant with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements

Support and manage nursery staff through supervision, training, and development

Monitor staff ratios and nursery occupancy levels

Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children

Oversee planning and delivery of engaging learning activities in line with the EYFS framework

Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies

Manage recruitment, staff rotas, and performance where required

Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are consistently maintained

Support children’s emotional, social, and developmental progress

Maintain accurate records, observations, and compliance documentation

Lead by example with professionalism, communication, and leadership

Requirements

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (Level 5 preferred)

Previous experience within a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role

Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures

Experience leading and supporting childcare teams

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced childcare environment

Confident managing compliance and operational responsibilities

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
