About this role

NHSE Workforce Training and Education Directorate (WT&E) is looking to recruit to the post of Dental Training Programme Director until 31/03/2027 DFT scheme working across the East of England.

You will work as part of the regional East of England team. You will be required to carry out practice visits across East of England, in person and remotely.

The post holders will work closely with the Regional Dean, Associate Deans and Office teams within WT&E.

Work in collaboration with Associate Deans for Workforce and Foundation in delivering recommendations of NHSE Dental Education reform programme (DERP)

Quality Management of Early Years dental education for a delegated scheme within the East of England region.

  • To monitor the professional development of Foundation Dentists on the 24 month DFT scheme and report this to the regional Associate Dean for Foundation.
  • To ensure that this quality management processes conforms to guidance
  • To organise an allocated 24 month Dental Foundation Scheme study day programme

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Secondments
