We have an exciting opportunity for a Voids Skilled Operative to join the Norwich City Services Limited (NCSL) team on a fixed term contract for 6 months. If you are detail-oriented, possess excellent customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role?
This hands on role supports the Environmental Services team by delivering high quality labouring and cleaning across domestic void properties. Responsibilities include clearing bulk waste, demolishing small external structures, and restoring overgrown gardens through strimming, mowing and cutting back. You’ll complete lettable, welfare and environmental cleans, working both independently and with a team. The job involves using equipment and vehicles safely, following schedules, completing paperwork and maintaining clear communication with management. With a strong focus on safety, professionalism and customer service, you’ll help prepare properties for client handover. Training is provided, and duties vary, creating an active, varied working environment.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in a similar hands on role, confidently performing manual labour, demolition work and tasks at height using steps and ladders safely. They communicate clearly, follow written and verbal instructions, and work effectively both independently and within a team. Highly reliable and organised, they manage their workload, meet deadlines under pressure and maintain strong attention to detail while delivering excellent customer service. Desirable qualities include BICSc training, Health & Safety knowledge, experience with carpet or hard floor machinery, and familiarity with PDA devices or similar technology.

This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.
This is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
