SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time Bury St Edmunds | Immediate Start Available Driving Licence Essential

We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Bury St Edmunds supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will
- Support pupils with complex learning needs, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and care teams to provide tailored support
- Assist with sensory learning, personal care, and mobility where required
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Support pupils on a 1
1 basis and within small classroom groups
- Encourage independence, communication, and social development
This role requires empathy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs.
To be considered for this role, you must have
- A valid UK driving licence - ESSENTIAL
- An Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service
- Transferable experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals
- A calm, nurturing, and positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience in SEN education, care work, support work, residential care, youth work, or healthcare settings would be highly beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
