We are currently working in partnership with an outstanding therapeutic SEMH school in Essex to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND practitioner who is looking to make a meaningful impact within a highly supportive and nurturing environment.
The school supports pupils aged 4-11 who have experienced trauma and require a consistent, empathetic, and confident approach to learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils re-engage with education and develop both academically and emotionally.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing alongside their academic progress
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Previous experience working within SEND/SEMH settings
- A patient, empathetic, and approachable manner
- Confidence in managing behaviour and supporting complex needs

Working hours
08:15 - 16:45
- Small class sizes (typically 5-6 pupils per class)
- Supported by a minimum of two Teaching Assistants per class
