Class 1 (Cat C+E) HGV Drivers – Ipswich

BARR Personnel urgently requires experienced and professional Class 1 (Cat C+E) drivers for permanent positions or flexible work-life balance opportunities based in Ipswich.

Working Hours

Start times between 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM, Monday to Friday.

Role Overview

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving and experience with different loads will ensure timely and secure deliveries, contributing to our commitment to excellent logistics and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and comply with all traffic regulations.

Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.

Deliver goods accurately and on time to designated locations, maintaining detailed delivery records.

Securely manage flatbed loads, following proper loading and unloading procedures.

Maintain clear communication with dispatch and clients regarding schedules and delivery updates.

Adhere to company policies and maintain a clean driving record.

Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence with valid Category C+E entitlement.

Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) Card.

Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Ability to provide checkable work-related references/history.

What We Offer

Competitive pay

£15.00 - £18.00 per hour.

Minimum 10 hours guaranteed pay per day with no break deductions.
